Thanks so much, Mary. It was nice to know I was being read though my mind and body were elsewhere this week! Oops! That was last week! Thank you again, so much, for your kind words!

Rebekah: your opinion counts! Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks, Nancy!

Yep, Jessica: you got it. A tough reality.

Leisa,

As always, beautifully written. Well-crafted, vivid detail. Your writing flows in a way that urges the reader forward. I ALWAYS have to keep reading to find out how it ends.

I love your posts! ;)

Sometimes it's the seemingly smallest acts----paying attention, simply listening to what someone needs to say, that bring greatest comforts. It is, indeed, holding the space for something larger than ourselves to come through. beautiful experience.

Darn it, Leisa, you know how to bring tears to my eyes with your words!!

Jessica

I read and reread your sentence about praying she outlives her child. It stalled me because for most parents, the prayer is that their child will outlive them. But I see now the fear of leaving a differently-abled child with no one to care for them. Thank you for that insight.
